Mainstream sources such as Wikipedia downplay what happened in Bromberg Germany on September 3rd, 1939 and then twist out a narrative of the Bloody Sunday massacres being used by Germans as justification for “ethnic cleansing” policies. I had an exchange with a dear friend about the Bromberg Bloody Sunday a few years ago, which I wrote about in this article on freespeechmonika.com. Sadly, that young woman was a perfect example of the result of deep anti-German and anti-White indoctrination which we (collectively) suffer from.

This article should serve as a correction to what is taught in schools, if these massacres are even mentioned at all.

The Bromberg Bloody Sunday

ON 1 September 1939 German armed forces invaded parts of Germany that had been annexed to the newly formed Polish state after 1918. On 3 September 1939 England and France, with their mighty armed forces and their vast empires, declared war on Germany, using the German armed action as a pretext. Two weeks later the armed forces of the USSR also invaded Poland, but no war against the USSR was declared by the western allies. The relatively backward economy of the USSR was no threat to England.
It is appropriate that we reexamine the background of the German invasion of western Poland during the time when there will be widespread notice of the half century that has passed since these events, which eventually brought about untold suffering to the major European nations and still cast their shadows on Europeans and even their descendants across the seas.
Bromberg, now designated on maps by its Polish name, Bydgoszcz, was a Prussian city that was annexed by Poland in 1919 as part of the wide “corridor” to the Baltic Sea. This wide “corridor” was awarded to Poland by the western Allies and it cut Germany in two. On 3 September 1939 a genocidal slaughter of many of the German inhabitants of Bromberg took place which is designated by historians as the Bromberg Bloody Sunday. This genocidal action by the overconfident Poles no doubt contributed from the very outset to the grim, desperate nature of the Second World War, especially in eastern Europe. We would probably be justified in saying that German attitudes toward Poles, even before 1918, were somewhat analogous to American attitudes toward Mexicans. There is even an old, pejorative German idiom, polnische Wirtschaft (“Polish Economy”), which designates a disorderly state of affairs. The massacres of the German population in and around Bromberg were given wide publicity in Germany and a large book with many gruesome pictures was published by the German Foreign Office under the title, Die polnischen Greueltaten an den Volksdeutschen in Polen (The Polish Atrocities Against the Ethnic Germans in Poland). We have a copy of this scarce book on our library.
Unabhängige Nachrichten (Postfach 45 02 15, D-4630 Bochum 4, West Germany) is a small but notable journal of political and historical commentary with a patriotic intent. From time to time it has included short supplementary sheets for school textbooks pertaining to what its editors consider gaps in, or falsifications of, recent history. These have borne the title, Auf dem Stundenplan / Ersatzblatt für fehlende oder verfälschte Schulbücher (On the Lesson Plan / Supplementary Sheets for Insufficient or Falsified Schoolbooks). These sheets have covered a rather wide range of topics, including the lost eastern territories of Germany, the war guilt question, a comparison of the treaties of Brest-Litovsk and Versailles, the ethnic history of Czechoslovakia, the lessons of the Weimar Republic, German colonization in Africa, and the Reichskristallnacht.
I have long wanted to see a study of American school textbooks from a revisionistic point of view with regard to events of the Second World War. Such a study might become the basis for a series of correctional leaflets similar to Auf dem Stundenplan.
Now, in keeping with the notice that will be taken of the events of September 1939, I have made the following translation of the eleventh Ersatzblatt in the series, which deals with the outbreak of the German-Polish War in September 1939. The sheet is dated March 1987.
The Bromberg Bloody Sunday
“As one of the first soldiers who entered Bromberg after these murders of ethnic Germans, it is my duty to make the following statement: Everything that has been written and told about this Bloody Sunday can only be a shadow of the reality. The actual insanity cannot be described and is incredible for those who were not eyewitnesses. Almost fifty years later, in many a dream, my mind wanders back to the corpses of the German population that had been hacked up beyond recognition. The German nation, and especially its young people, are being frightfully deceived. Indeed, the truth would probably be dangerous for the re-educators.”
So goes the statement of the eyewitness J. Wichmann of Weissenborn in the Deutsche National Zeitung of 8 November 1985.
What Was This Bromberg Bloody Sunday?
In all of the school history books available to us we do not find the phrase “Bromberg Bloody Sunday” or “Bromberg.” It is only one of the many mass crimes against Germans before and after the outbreak of the war which are not mentioned in the schoolbooks.
In all of the schoolbooks which were checked through only the outbreak of the war is described, and to be specific, in the following manner:
In the morning hours of 1 September 1939 the German armies crossed Polish border without a declaration of war….. The formerly German territories of Poland, as well as those with a purely Polish population, were incorporated into the German Reich. The rest of western Poland was transformed into a “Generalgouvernement of Poland” and subordinated to the German government. There thus began a long period of suffering for the Polish population. It was oppressed from both the German and Russian sides and kept down by hunger. Polish property was destroyed or expropriated. The population was drafted for compulsory labor projects or went into German or Russian concentration camps….” (Rückert and Lachner, Grundriss der Geschichte [Outline of History], Paderborn, 1971.)
The Preliminary History
The unconditional guarantee given by England and France in March 1939 to go to war on the side of Poland in case of an armed conflict was a specific encouragement for the Poles to commit every conceivable provocation against the Germans in their territory and against the German Reich and to intensify without limit the bloody terror against the ethnic Germans. The Polish Marshal Rydz-Smigly declared in the summer of 1939:
“Poland wants war with Germany and Germany will not be able to avoid it even if it wishes to do so.”
This declaration was also naturally the result of the Anglo-French guarantee as well as the rejection of the very modest offer by the Reich of 28 August 1939. This rejection was tragic for all of Europe. This offer provided that Danzig [Gdansk, in Polish], in keeping with the desire of its purely German population, was to be returned to the Reich, a plebiscite was to take place in West Prussia (“the Corridor”) and that an extraterritorial highway and rail connection through this territory was to be granted to the side which obtained the lesser number of votes in the plebiscite. Further, a complete protection of the minorities was to be guaranteed by both sides.
A more peaceful and juster solution is simply not conceivable!
With an awareness of the guarantee, during the months of April to September 1939 the Polish press published veritable orgies of hate against the German population that had settled there long, long ago and against the German Reich. At times stones flew against the windowpanes of German houses, while at other times peaceful German citizens were attacked by Poles and German women and children were struck down on the open street. Ethnic Germans by the thousands were put into prisons and Polish concentration camps. The property of the ethnic Germans was destroyed, confiscated and expropriated, and the closer the outbreak of the war provoked by the Poles came, the worse the Polish terror became. Finally, the number of Germans who were interned and deported reached 50,000. Thousands of them succumbed to hardships or were deprived of their lives by violence. Only by the rapid advance of the German troops were the surviving ethnic Germans spared the same fate.
The Climax of the Orgies of Murder
Beginning with 31 August 1939, every ethnic German in Poland, whether man, woman or child, had to fear for his life every minute. In all the cities and villages, the horrible hunt for the Germans began. The authorities of the Polish police and army not only looked at this action of the incited Polish mob without doing anything about it, but in many cases even took part in it themselves.
The Bromberg Bloody Sunday of 3 September 1939 was the frightful climax of this orgy of murder, the climax of the twenty-year Polish war of annihilation against the German ethnic group.
In and around Bromberg thousands of ethnic Germans who could not escape the murderous gangs of Poles in time were murdered. The fact that raiding squads consisted for the most part of persons not resident in the area and had lists in their hands proves that these crimes were not only tolerated, but were directed. Using these lists, the murderous gangs searched through the houses of the ethnic Germans, abducted them or shot them on the spot. The meanness of the Polish clergy in this process is beyond belief! After Catholic church services in the German language were forbidden by order of the Polish church authorities on 3 July 1939, the priests incited the Poles during church services to “exterminate” [ausrotten] the Germans (the actual word used according to an interrogation record). Now, on this Bloody Sunday the clergymen of the Jesuit Church on Markt Platz [Market Plaza] issued weapons to the mob. There were instances in which Poles greeted their German neighbors before going to church and shot them after leaving church. Horrible events took place of which the human brain cannot conceive except for the perverse brains in which the deeds were thought up. Whoever was not shot in his dwelling or in the cellar of his house was shackled or tied to others and taken from the city and abused, mutilated and murdered in any number of ways. Even military units participated in the killing of the shackled, abducted ethnic Germans. For days the dead continued to lie on the fields, in the yards or gardens or in front of their houses, in many cases covered over only with branches and foliage or buried in shallow graves. Many lay in groups of two or three bound together along the side of the roads. Many of the victims were found only later at distant places. Many were missing forever. The corpses which were found were mutilated in manners which can scarcely be described.
More than 900 Germans found their last resting places on the honour section of the Protestant New Cemetery in Bromberg, on which high-rise buildings are standing today.
In and around Bromberg alone at least 5,347 Germans were murdered under horrible circumstances, a number which was examined by international witnesses. Even today there are no exact figures on the total number of the dead from the Polish massacres of 1939. In 1954 the East-German historian Theodor Bierschenk mentioned the number of 12,857 identified dead, which are supposed to have increased to 15,000 according to information obtained by the Central Graves Registry Office [Gräberzentrale] of Posen. The Social-Democratic publisher, Otto Heike from Lodz, mentioned the same number of victims in 1955.
All of that which we have reported here with revulsion took place before the war or during the first days of the war.
If, until the present time, all of the crimes against Germans before, during and especially after the war are passed over, minimized or excused in schoolbooks as an understandable revenge (something which is, naturally, false, unjust and immoral) there is not the slightest justification for these crimes before the invasion in 1939.
All of these crimes were the manifestation of a Polish megalomania, which was described on 3 August 1939 by the Flemish observer Ward Hermanns as follows:
The Poles have lost the last feeling of moderation and proportion. Every foreigner who looks at the new maps in Poland, on which a large part of Germany as far as the proximity of Berlin, as well as Bohemia, Moravia and Slovakia and a gigantic part of Russia are already annexed in the quite fertile imagination of Poles, must think that Poland has become a gigantic lunatic asylum.
In addition, there was an unlimited hatred of Germans with the objective of slowly but certainly destroying our nation.
Within the framework of this goal, the “Bromberg Bloody Sunday,” like innumerable other crimes against Germans during peacetime and before the invasion of German troops, was only a fraction of and a prelude to the mass murder of millions of Germans during and especially after the Second World War.
Since, according to everything we are taught, a constant reminder and continued awareness of the crimes which took place are a requisite for the reconciliation of the nations, this leaf should be entered as a substitute for insufficient or falsified schoolbooks, as instructional material in all of the schools of the German Federal Republic.

When I look back through these past many years in which I have studied American and world history and historical events (primarily as a hobby), focusing more specifically on the first World War and continuing on through this present day period within my own lifetime, I have discovered there is one very specific and truly troubling common denominator that has characterize them all. What is it, you may ask? As I see it, it is the prodigious amount of lying, distortions, fabrications and the never-ending twisting and manipulating of real world events and factual information via our political classes in essentially justifying nearly every action they have undertaken to serve elite special interests, truth be damned – and for all intents and purposes ultimately at total odds where the people they serve are concerned. (Think of the ongoing Epstein scandal, the unparalleled never-ending corruption in Congress, the wars in the middle east and Ukraine, the ongoing collapse of the dollar, turmoil in our decaying cities, etc.) It seems all-too-clear to me both the American and British leadership classes (and now including that little tumor in occupied Palestine known as Israel) ruling over our world having mastered the so-called art of lying, manipulation and deceit – let’s call it for what it truly is: PROPAGANDA. No other three countries are more fully responsible for so much destruction, ruination, exploitation, manipulation of the true(r) historical record(s) of other peoples and other cultures – and all hiding behind the veil of so-called DEMOCRACY and moral superiority. This has never been about serving their people. It is always about serving powerful corporate interests, banking monopolies and, of course, the powerful jewish constituency that (mostly) rules our world. If I am correct in stating so, to paraphrase I believe it was Plato who essentially described democracy as the one unique form of government most susceptible to being owned and manipulated by unscrupulous scoundrels.
When I think back to all of the official history presented to me in movies, books, documentaries, textbooks, etc. what I then assumed to be the honest-to-goodness truth, in so many cases was/is almost always completely and entirely at odds with true facts, or at least so heavily distorted as to discredit and distort what little truthful reality one can filter through the lense with regards to what actually happened. Our two countries have never really been the “good guys” where just about everything we have done is concerned. Not since the days of our founding fathers (with whom we today have no chance of ever emulating) our ongoing bought and paid for elected leaderships have been a never-ending. insufferable curse of perpetual disappointments.
It seems to me, whether it be the second world war or any of the seemingly countless other wars and conflicts we have been manipulated to believe in via either constant political game playing and/or the mass media for our supposed benefit have turned out to be lies that do no such thing. Here we have, once again, what was obviously a political maneuver instigated primarily by Britain to manifest a crises in Poland in order to bait Germany to intervene and thus justify the start of another war of mass slaughter and wholesale destruction. Why couldn’t Britain just leave the situation alone and stay focused on the true needs of the British people and their own little stub of an island country? What has ever given them (including my country) the right to stick their arrogant noses in other’s affairs anywhere else in this world? Just one more sterling example of what seems like a countless, endless parade of tragic misfortunes forced upon us all in order for these disillusioned elites to believe in their “divine right” to rule over us and determine from their sick point of view how our world must be with their predetermined reality in order to keep themselves in power. Will we ever be free from this yoke of despair? Will we ever be able to truly build that “heaven” here on earth, learning from more truthful interpretations of reality that have proven themselves of value before us and not wait to be force-fed endless forms of self-serving, self-agrandizing propaganda that never truly benefits us or our progeny?
I know for a fact now what the true origins of the first world war were when compared to the official history texts I first read while in junior high and later on in my more focused senior high school years. With the blessings we have all enjoyed in more recent years via the internet and historical revisionist movement(s) we are now much better informed, despite so much more that needs to be “corrected”. This ongoing struggle has no doubt taken its toll on many of us who want the honest-to-goodness truth – reputations of past and present individuals and countries be damned. As I see it, only by diligently striving for the truth can we honestly move forward in a constructive way. Otherwise, as we all endeavor to move forward towards (hopefully) building a much better world how can we build upon a solid foundation that will last throughout the coming ages when we honestly cannot fully entertain both the negative and positive aspects as to how we have gotten to where we are in the first place. Sadly, our past political classes, and the current political class that has evolved from before, seems so very far removed from this kind of reality mindset that our common future grows more wanting, precarious and evermore dangerous every day, year and decade moving forward. Must we keep lying to ourselves, living endless delusions and perverting our understanding of our historical past and how we should freely be able to understand and (re)interpret it without fearing arrest and prosecution?
I realize now Herr Hitler fought a sincere and honest fight essentially holding the high moral ground pretty much from start to finish. America and Britain, including to some extent the former Soviet Union, undertook a deliberate policy of untold misery and destruction to enhance their own selfish interests, unwilling to learn from the superior example National Socialist Germany was creating during the nineteen thirties. Instead – and perhaps out of fear – they refused to learn from Herr Hitler’s economic and cultural miracle and understand his superior living example, that most assuredly could/would have benefitted them. Instead of sending representatives to study the German model and learn from it, the jewish system of power controlling our political leaderships sought to deny this reality that could have benefited the countless lives of Britain and America suffering immeasurably through the hardships of the (jew-instigated) economic Great Depression.
As I see it, our present-day world and the hellish economic, cultural and environmental disasters we continually endure can be directly attributed to that awful, tragic outcome of World War ll. What did our elite leaderships do? Once again, they were determined to go to war one way or another with a country (and idealism) they feared and refused to understand with the sole intent of eliminating that living example fully and completely, undoubtedly fearing the economic and political threat it presented to them, regardless of the higher value it presented to their countries and the overall world as a whole. At the end of the conflict they further set about to ruthlessly execute many, many thousands of Germany’s finest representatives, further endeavoring to assure National Socialism would – they hoped – never have a direct and viable living voice again. In fact, it was the elected leaderships of both America and Britain who were the real criminals whom should have known the horror and finality of the hangmans’s noose. Furthermore, the loss of millions of enlightened German (and other white European) lives, the purposeful destruction of countless magnificent centuries of fine art, architecture, recorded history, etc. continues to pervert (and thus hinder) our ability to address with a clear(er) conscious mind our present-day situation, or draw upon the beauty and inspiration of that now lost and forbidden world. The superior proven example set forth by the National Socialists model for economic, cultural and racial development, respect for nature, animal rights, healthy living and a strong moral and ethical code free of perverse jewish influence continues to haunt our lives (and our world) nearly a full century since its unholy demise. I think many of us sense or more fully realize now what we have lost. More so, the sinister lies and untruths what we were programmed to believe in from an early age about Herr Hitler and his living example continue to diminish us as living human beings. He did not start the war, but was forced into it in order that the overwhelming (deceived and mostly white) forces of the Allies could destroy his greater vision for all humankind, once again leaving the jews to continue to plunder and rape this greater world for their own, exclusive benefit. As I daily look around me at the physical and social decay, cultural rot and moral degeneracy that seems everywhere (in stark contrast as to what Germany was able to achieve via is living example) I cannot help but weep for my country, our world and its many peoples.

Thank you Frederick, for another thoughtful commentary. Your observations about democracy are good. Ezra Pound comes to mind, as per his statement that “democracy is jew-speak for country run by jews”, something to that effect. As you allude to, the jews have indeed been the hidden hand behind all these destructive brother’s wars. Chief Rabbi in France, in 1859, Rabbi Reichhorn said: “Wars are the Jews harvest, for with them we wipe out the Christians and get control of their gold. We have already killed 100-million of them, and the end is not yet.”
Just one little correction to your essay, the word “propaganda” is actually a neutral term. It is not positive nor negative and basically means communication and materials meant to influence, to persuade the audience of one’s ideas. I do realize though, that it has taken on negative connotation in current times.

Yes, thank you for pointing that out. I meant to write ” negative PROPAGANDA” but somehow I overlooked remembering to go back and make the change. Also, it seems no matter how hard I try there remains misspellings and other clerical errors I overlook. So frustrating. Writing really is not my forte.

Yes, everything about Hitler and Germany is a lie! I was also indoctrinated from a young age to hate Hitler, never having had the right to learn the other side of the story in school. I had a deep hatred for Hitler and also disliked Germans, but it was only because of the historical lies about Germans, Hitler, and World War II. The truth is that we learn much more outside of school than inside it! In 2009, when I began to slowly awaken to the truth, I naturally stumbled upon the Holocaust. I still believed in it and was terrified of the images shown in films and books. I remember one time when my two teachers, one art teacher and one history teacher, talked about the Jews and the Holocaust. I didn’t yet know the truth. My history teacher opened the book and began showing images of thin Jews and talking about the “horrors” of the “Holocaust” and all that pathetic Jewish propaganda. I remember being shocked by the images at the time; I was young and didn’t understand, I was very sad, and it fueled my hatred for Germans even more. If that happened today, I would gladly teach my teacher everything I know! My other art teacher showed a film made in my country about a Jewish woman who died in a gas chamber. At the time, the film shocked me even more because it was a video and contained all the propaganda and eternal Jewish victimhood narrative. Only years later did I discover that this Jewish woman depicted in the film, who is highly revered in my country as a martyr and innocent, was actually a terrorist, murderer, and communist. Later, I discovered the whole truth about Hitler and World War II. I spent countless nights every day studying historical revisionism. In my country, there lived a great revisionist who dedicated the last years of his life to exposing Jewish lies. It was because of his publishing house and his books that I learned the whole truth about the Germans and Hitler. Today, I know the whole truth. I am a great defender of the Germans and have deep admiration for everything Hitler did for his people! The Germans are victims of a perpetual Jewish lie that has been going on since the First World War! The Germans were heroes and fought to try to save this decadent world from the clutches of the satanist Rothschilds and their gang of Talmudic satanist Jews!!! I am very saddened by the situation Germany is going through today, completely divided, invaded, and controlled by Jews. Today, to help spread the truth, I translate books, mainly those written during the Third Reich, and make them available for free in my country. I also learned the truth about Bromberg because of this great revisionist from my country who translated this German book published by the Third Reich.
